Wonderful Working Wireless
A productive day today. I set up my WLAN at home so now my parents can use the broadband from downstairs. I had to make the system “Internet Ready” or as ready as a crappy OS can get (Windows ME, yuck). I ran Windows update on it. Also I deleted the Internet Explorer and Outlook Express icons from the desktop and replaced them with nice Firefox and Thunderbird icons instead.
I guess now my little sister will want an internet connection in her room too. There goes my download speeds and spare time. She has a habit of getting lots of crap on her hard drive and she attracts spam too.
Today was also a day of updates for my desktop Linux box too. I usually wait ’til I have some free time before I do any kernel upgrades because they usually break stuff and this time was no exception, both my network and my 3D acceleration (nvidia geforce and nforce) broke.
