GP2X

My GP2X arrived today. It is very shiny. I’ve been spending most of the afternoon playing with it. I’ve put a SNES emulator on it and I am currently checking out some of the ROMs I’ve got. I’m thinking of puting The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on it because I have the SNES cartridge of that but I can’t play it because the battery for the memory is dead so I can’t save (a critical problem with an RPG).

Hi, I’ve posted a link to my GP2X info site. It pretty much covers everything that is happening. I got my GP2X a few days ago but had to wait till today for my card reader to arrive. So far so good! I love it.

Yeah, the GP2X is working fine. The SNES emulator crashes occasionally but the version was downloaded just after the GP2X came out and I haven’t upgraded to the latest one yet (alternatively the ROM I have could be a bit corrupted). I have had no problem with the in-built software. It uses up batteries quite a bit so I recommend that you invest in some decent rechargables and perhaps a power lead. It appears as a USB mass storage device when you plug it into a PC and that works fine under Debian. I’m glad you like my blog.
