The dark side of the house

Recently my parents have been home improvement crazy. We have new windows, a new boiler, the lounge and dining room has been rececorated and now I have swapped rooms with my younger sister. My old room was at the back of the house (south facing), always used to get the sun first thing in the morning (i’m not a morning person which is why I had thick blackout curtains) but now my room is on the street facing side where it is darker and cooler.

I also have a walk in wardrobe now with some space for some computers. Hopefully I won’t be able to hear the fans if they’re in the cupboard (I can’t sleep with the fan noise). Although I now have to put up with a pink carpet until it gets replaced.

    In question to your wiring, is it all BS7671 compliant? and are you using the new, or old scheme
    and if you are using the new scheme, have you put up warning labels stating that there are two BS7671 schemes in use?
